How to export and import Task Scheduler from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008  - Step by step with screenshots 

 

Situation: After upgrading Windows 2003 server to a Windows 2008 server, the client lost all his Task Schedulers. This article descript how to export and import these Task Schedulers.

 

1. On Windows 2008, open Task Scheduler. Clinch Connect to Another Computer. Enter Windows 2003 server name.


  

2. After connecting to Windows 2003 server, you should see all schedulers under Task Scheduler Library. Highlight each scheduler and click Export on the left pane. Save the scheduler in c:\windows\system32\tasks folder.

  

 

3. Now, Switch back to Windows 2008 Task Scheduler. Import them.
