No License Code for installing Terminal Services Licenses

Situation: When the client tries to add Terminal Services licenses on a Windows 2000 sever, it asks for License Code. However, he doesn't have it. All he has are Authorization Number and License Number.

Resolution: When installing Terminal Services license, you may have three Licensing Programs, Microsoft Select or Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, Microsoft Open License Program, and Other. In this case, he should select Microsoft Open License Program instead of Other.

After he selects Open License Program, you can enter Authorization Number and License Number to continue the installation.
