How to enable/disable circular logging in Exchange 2010

In Exchange 2010, circular logging is disabled by default. By enabling it, you reduce drive storage space requirements. However, without a complete set of transaction log files, you can't recover any data more recent than the last full backup. In a normal production environment, circular logging isn't recommended.

To enable or disable circular logging in exchange 2010, please follow these steps:

1. Run Exchange Management Console.

2. Navigate to Organization Configuration>Mailbox.

3. Under Database Management, right chick on the database and select Properties.

4. Click on Maintenance. You will enable or disable circular logging here.
