Exchange Server Delegation

In the most common configuration of Microsoft Exchange Server, each user has a single mailbox and each mailbox is owned by a single user (the mailbox owner). However, in the following cases, you may want to grante some level of access to another user's mailbox.

* A resource mailbox that represents a conference room, which all users must be able to access in some manner.
* A user must access to certain folders in the mailbox, and may have to send mail or schedule appointments on behalf of the manager.

* A administrator want sot have full permissions in each mailbox.

 

With Exchange System Manager, you can delegate permissions to a user or group a full or limited permissions to certain objects. To do that, please follow these steps:

 

1. Run Exchange System Manager.

2. Right click on the Organization Unit and select Delegation.

3. click Add to add the user or group.

4/ Click next to finish.
