Redirection
This article provides step by step how to setup Folder
Redirection using Group Policy. In our example, we want to redirect Guest
group’ My Documents to
- Open Active Directory Users and Computers from the
Administrative Tools.
- Follow this link to create a group policy:
How to create a new OU
- Navigate to the following location in the Group
Policy Object: User Configuration\Windows Settings\Folder Redirection.
- Right-click on My Documents in the right-hand
pane and select Properties. (See Figure 1)
- In Setting, select Advanced – Specify locations for
various user groups if you want to have more than one groups to be added
to the policy.
- Click Add. That will open another window (see
figure 2). Select the guest group. In
the target location, select the path, for example, d:\users.
- Click OK to close it.
