How to Auto-close Outlook Message After You Reply or Forward   - Step by step with screenshots 

 

When you've replied to a message or forwarded a message, you probably don't want to keep the original message that you opened, so let Outlook close the original message window automatically after you send a reply.

Here is how to auto-close Outlook message window after you reply or forward:

1. Click on File
2. Click Options
3. Click Mail, then scroll down to Replies and Forwards
4. Add a checkmark next to "Close original message window when replying or forwarding"
