How to Install and Configure The First Windows 2003 Cluster Node


In Windows 2003 Enterprise or Database Edition, the Cluster Service is installed by default, but not yet configured. This article will descript how to install and configure the first cluster server node.

 

1. Run Cluster Administrator from Administrative Tools.

 

2. If this is the first node, select Create new cluster and click OK to continue.

 

 

3. New Server Cluster Wizard displays. This wizard will help you to create a new cluster server with the information such as the cluster's domain, cluster name, IP address, logon information.
