How to upgrade the evaluation version of Virtual Server 2005 to the full retail version

Q: I have installed a Virtual server evaluation and now I would like to upgrade to the select version I received. what are the steps needed to upgrade the VS server?

Thanks in advance.

A: To upgrade the evaluation version of Virtual Server 2005 to the full retail version, you have to uninstall the evaluation version and then install the full retail version. To remove the evaluation version, use the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.

Note: 1. You cannot install the full retail version of Virtual Server 2005 over the evaluation version already installed on the same computer.

2. Virtual machines that were created by using the evaluation version are not deleted when you remove the evaluation version.

3. After you install the full retail version, you can use any virtual machine that was created by using the evaluation version. The virtual machines that were created by using the evaluation version are fully compatible with the full retail version.
