How to turn on/off hibernation

Hibernate can save an image of a computer with all open files and documents to your hard disk. This will create a hidden system file called hiberfil.sys saved on the C: drive usually. When the hibernation setting is on and the power is off, the hiberfil.sys file store a copy of the system memory on the hard disk. When you turn on power, your files and documents will open on your desktop exactly as you turn of the powr.

However the hibernation will use some of the space. If you want to save some spaces,  you may want to disable this feature. To turn on r off the hibernation, please follow the steps below:

1. Click Start->All Programs->Accessories.
2. Right click "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator".
3. Type the following commands and press Enter after each one:

powercfg  -h  on or off
exit
