How to share the Public in Windows Vista

If you enable the Public folder sharing, anyone with a user account and password on your computer, as well as everyone on your network, will be able to see all the files in your Public folder and subfolders. To share the Public in Windows Vista, please follow these steps:

1.      Go to Start>Network, and then click to open Network and Sharing Center.

2.      Click the arrow button next to Public folder sharing, and select one of the following options:

o        Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can open files

o        Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can open, change, and create files

3.      Click Apply.
