Logon Windows Vista automatically

A. If you’re the only user who access the Vista and do not share your computer with any other users, you can configure to set Windows Vista to logon automatically without entering username and password. To enable automatic logon, please follow these steps:

  1. On Vista click Start button.
  2. Type netplwiz and press Enter.
  3. If User Access Control window pops up to ask for permission, click “Continue”.
  4. At the User Accounts screen, uncheck and clear the “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.” option, and click OK.

 

 

5. In the Automatically Log On screen, enter the user name and password and click OK when done.

6. Restart computer.

 

B. If the Vista is member of domain, you won't have “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.” option. To logon automatically, you may mofigy the registry. This how to may help.
