What’s Shadow Copies

Windows Server 2003 includes a new feature called Shadow Copies that help prevent inadvertent loss of data. The benefits of Shadow Copies are as follows:

1.     Recover files without assistance from the help desk.

2.     Recover files that were not saved using the “Saved as” command.

3.     Recover files that were corrupted and not recovered with the file recovery capabilities of Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Office XP.
