How to setup ICS in Windows 2012  - Step by step with screenshots

To create Internet Connection Sharing on any Windows computer, you need two NICs. Here are how to.

1. Configure NIC1 to connect to the Internet with the default gateway and DNS. Make sure it works.

2. Right click on the NIC1 and select Properties.

3. Click Sharing and check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection.

4. Click Settings, and check the services you want to use, for example HTTP and HTTPS.

Note: by design, the NIC2 will be setup to use IP address 192.168.137.1/24.

5. On other computer, configure network using IP 192.168.137.x/24 and Default Gateway 192.168.137.1. Now, you should be able to access the Internet via the ICS.
