How to Install a legacy application and publish it to the XP Mode Host  - Step by step with screenshots 

 

1. After installing Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 or 8, right click on Windows XP Mode and click Settings.

2. Click Auto Publish option. Make sure Automatically publish virtual applications is selected.

3. Install the application on XP.

4. After the installation, open the All Programs in the host computer, you should see the installed application under Windows Virtual PC>Windows XP Mode>Windows XP Mode Applications.

5. Click to run the legacy application on the host computer.
