How to Enable SSL on IIS 7.0 Using Self-Signed Certificates

A. Create a new Self Signed Certificate

1. Open IIS 7 and navigate to the web site you want to setup SSL. Double click on Server Certificates icon in the feature pane on the right.

2. In the Actions pane, click Create Self-Signed Certificate.

3. On the Create Self-Signed Certificate page, type a friendly name (SSTP in our case) for the certificate in the Specify a friendly name for the certificate box, and then click OK to save the certificate.
