How to disable Copilot and all Other AI functionality in Windows

Option 1: Through Settings:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Click on Personalization.
  3. Navigate to the Taskbar page on the right-hand side.
  4. Under the Taskbar Items section, find the toggle switch for Copilot (preview) and set it to Off1.

Option 2: Using the Registry Editor:

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  3. Navigate to HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows.
  4. Right-click on the Windows folder, create a new Key named WindowsCopilot.
  5. Inside the WindowsCopilot key, create a DWORD value named TurnOffWindowsCopilot with a value of 1.
  6. Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
