How to setup local file sharing rule in Symantec EndPoint
If you want to enable file sharing in a EndPoint protected LAN, you need to configure firewall policy in SEP. To setup firewall policy rule, please follow these steps.
1. Open Symantec EndPoint Protection Manager.
2. Click Policies and then Firewall.
3. Click on Firewall Policy, you will have Firewall Policy windows.
4. Click Rule in the left pan.
5. Highlight Block local file sharing (#8 in our example).
6. By default, it is uncheck and Block. Right click on Block and select Allow that enable file sharing in the EndPoint protected LAN.
