How to create a failover Cluster in Windows 2008 R2
1. Open Failover Cluster Manager from Server Manager. 2. Click on Create a Cluster.
3. In the Validation Warning window, select Yes to run validation test or select No to skip it if you already did it. Then click Next to continue.
4. in the Access Point for Administering the Cluster page, create
the
cluster name and IP information for managing this cluster.
Note: The cluster name is the computer name that will need permission to the
File Share Witness later.
5. In the Confirmation page, make sure all information are correct and click Next to continue.
6. In the Summary page, if you see the yellow exclamation point; you may want to click on View Report to find out what the problem may be. Otherwise, click Finish.
