How to enable Cluster Shared Volumes in Microsoft failover Cluster
Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV) is a feature of Microsoft
Failover Clustering for use with the Hyper-V role. A Cluster Shared Volume
is a shared disk containing an NTFS volume that is made accessible for read
and write operations by all nodes within a Windows Server Failover Cluster.
This feature simplifies the configuration and management of clustered
virtual machines. With Cluster Shared Volumes, multiple clustered virtual
machines can use the same LUN (disk) while still being able to fail over (or
move from node to node) independently of one another. To enable it, open Failover Cluster Manager.
Navigate to the cluster you want to enable the cluster shared volume, right
click on it. Click Enable Cluster Shared Volumes as shown
below.
