How to add user to VMware ESX using vSphere Client
1. Login vSphere Client to access the host using root account. Note: 1. you must use vSphere Client to connect to the ESX host and the vCenter doesn't have the option to add user. 2. Remember login VMware host not vCenter. otherwise you don't have Local Users & Groups. 3. You must login using root username. 2. After login, click Local Users & Groups tab. 3. Right click on work pane and select Add.
3. In Add New User window, enter the user login ID, password, check Grant shell access to this user and add to root group.
