How to install ESX 4.1 - part 1
1. Put the ESX DVD in and turn on the power. You will have this screen. Select one of options.
2. Select the type of keyboard.
3. Add custom drivers. If you don't have custom drivers, click Next to continue.
4. After loading the drivers, click Next to continue.
5. Enter the license number. If you don't have license number now, select Enter a serial later.
6. In the Network Configuration page, decide if it requires VLAN.
7. Enter IP information or setup to use DHCP.
8. You will have two options, Standard setup and Advanced setup.
9. Select a location to install ESX.
10. If you have existing ESX installed before, you can preserve the existing VMFS datastore.
11. Specify a database.
