How to inventor or register a VM in VMware ESX 4
1. Run VMware vSphere Client. 2. Open storage where the VM is located. 3. Browse to the vmname.vmx. 4. Right click on it and select Add to Inventory.
5. Select the Host the VM will run.
6. Select the Resource Pool.
7. You will see the Register status when it completes.
