Job Title:
Infrastructure Specialist / Senior (Based on
experience)
Location:
Job Purpose Applies computing
technology to automate, enhance, and support: engineering, scientific, and
business processes. Conducts
research and analysis of business requirements, problems, and available
technologies in order to create long term business or computing strategies
for management systems which enhance the business unit's effectiveness and
ensures utilization of appropriate technologies. Develops, implements, and
maintains management systems and enhancements to meet business needs.
Ideal Candidate will Possess Bachelor
degree in Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Specialized education or certification (CCNP/CCDP) will be required.
5 to 8 years experience supporting large redundant Cisco Local and
Wide Area Network, Frame relay networks, extensive OSPF routing and 3 to 5
years experience with Cisco PIX and/or ASA Firewall.
Additional Experience must include cisco wireless lightweight access
technology, supporting MPLS network, and LAN to LAN VPN network, Sniffer and
Infistream Lan Analyzer product.
F5 experience, storage area network exposure, Face time Web
filtering, voice over IP setup and configuration and Channel Bank FSX/E&M
serial communication
Essential Functions:

Leads and conducts analysis
and research of new technologies

Recommends appropriate
alternatives in support of the organization’s strategic direction or
resolution of business issue
·
Leads the implementation of
effective solutions in a wide variety of business/technical areas
·
May provide functional
direction to other disciplines
·
Performs in-depth analysis of
the highest-level technical issues
·
Ensures that system
improvements are successfully implemented
·
Works on issues involving and
impacting leading edge and/or future technologies and business issues to
accomplish short-term business objectives
·
Provides technical
engineering and/or architectural guidance on an as-needed basis
·
Guides the successful
completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role
·
Resolves complex and
resistant problems usually dealing with the corporate wide data
infrastructure
·
Resolves problems between
applications and any area of the infrastructure
·
Coordinates evaluation
activities of new technology/tools and resolution of complex infrastructure
problems
·
Manages network performance
and makes recommendations to improve performance of applications using the
network
·
Assists application
developers with the testing, distribution, workstation configuration, and
packaging of client/server applications
·
