How to install and configure
GFI MailEssentials on a Windows SBS
2003
Configuring GFI MailEssentials for Anti-Spam 8.
Configuring Spam URI Realtime Blocklists (SURBL) SURBL
is a useful filter to block spam email based on
the destination of
hypertext links as well as the sources of images, information and other
objects in a Web Page.
Multi.surbl.org
combines multiple lists in a unique list, thus it is faster than using the
other four lists simultaneously. However, using multi.surbl.org might have a
higher rate of false positives since more blacklists are present. Therefore,
test it after enabling Multi.surbl.org.
9.
Configuring Header Checking The
Header Checking analyses the
individual fields in a Header such as
MIME FROM, MIME TO, an images.
The Maximum numbers allowed in MIME FROM setup to 3 or 4 may
block some good email because some people like to use their zip code as part
of email address. You may receive lot complaints about language blocking too
if you enable it.
