How to assess network vulnerability 1. After scanning your network for security vulnerabilities, click Analyze and then Scan Results. 2. Under the Scan Results Overview, it displays information related to the scan performed on target computers. This includes number of vulnerabilities found, system patching status, network and software audit. 3. Under Scan Results Details, it displays the details of the scan results. This includes vulnerability or missing patch name, level of patch/vulnerability, detailed vulnerability/missing patch details, connected device information, etc.
4. To view the security vulnerabilities identified on the
target computer, click o the Vulnerability Assessment of
the computer node . There five type and
severity groups as follows:
5. Assess vulnerabilities Scan report divides vulnerabilities as three catalogs, High Security Vulnerabilities, Low Security Vulnerabilities and Potential Vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are organized into the following groups:
* Mail, FTP, RPC, DNS servers. * Software installed on the scanned network device(s). * Potential vulnerabilities such as VPN, IPSec, dial-up and multihomed devices.
